Training

Process training is a wise investment.  Cement and lime manufacture require chemical processing to produce the essential chemical compounds found in these two building materials.  HCC training programs are founded in chemistry and economics.

Personalized training provides a better understanding of the chemistry involved in the process. This allows the operator to control the process with more precision and recognize potential problems earlier.  A unified group of operators, with the same training, will result in a more consistant, and more efficient operation.

Emphasis is also placed on economics.  Cement plants are built to make two things, money and cement. In order to sustain the operation and stay in business, it has to operate profitably.  The degree of success is much greater with a well informed staff.

Andy has provided training for PCA Regional programs as well as for PCA training in Skokie.  Topics include ‘NOx, SOx and CO Formation and Control”, “Coal Mill Operation and Safety”, Combustion Control in Kilns”, and “Clinker Coolers”.

Training can be performed classroom style or in the control room with the operator during normal working shifts.  The training is customized for each plant depending on process type and on-site equipment.
